
SUPERVISED PRACTICUM EXPERIENCE

Two years of supervised practicum: a year and two quarters at Western Conservative Baptist Seminary (WCBS) and one semester at the University of Hawaii-Manoa. Clinical faculty and some on-site staff provided supervision. Supervising clinical faculty have represented behavioral, cognitive-behavioral, eclectic, phenomenological, and psychoanalytic perspectives. 520 supervised practicum hours were logged. Placements were as follows:
Practicum Counselor, Psychological and Counseling Services Center, Portland Oregon. Provided intake interviews, psychodiagnostic assessment. individual adult therapy, conjoint marital therapy, biofeedback, and hypnotic therapy. Supervised by Earl Wilson, Ph.D.. Clinical Psychologist.
Counselor, Faith Baptist Counseling Services, Portland. Oregon. Provided psychodiagnostic assessment. individual adult therapy. conjoint marital therapy, hypnotic therapy and children's play therapy. Supervised by Earl Wilson, Ph.D., Clinical Psychologist.
Counselor, Oregon Baptist Retirement Home, Portland, Oregon. Provided assessment and herapeutic treatment of geriatric residents. Comprehensive treatment plans were developed. Supervised by WCBS Clinical Psychology Faculty.
Counselor, Son Village, Wemme, Oregon. Provided treatment plans and individual therapy in two group homes for court-placed adolescents. Supervised by WCBS Clinical Psychology Faculty.
Effectiveness Evaluator and Reseacher, Honolulu Community College Counseling Center. Evaluated the effectiveness of the counseling center's counseling program; conducted an effectiveness research study (unpublished). Supervised by Scott McDonald, Ph.D. Clinical Psychologist, University of Hawaii-Manoa.
